I'm wondering what you guys like and why. My bike has these grips that are a type of smooth foam and under them is a harder rubber looks like the outer foam is replaceable? I have the luck of having the front fork air fill valve in the end of my handle bars and if you've ever looked in catalogs all the grips are not to be used with this kind of handle bars.
I've been looking at replacing the grips as they are getting old and nasty. They make my hands black looks like I've been handling the chain after riding. So I'm in the process of looking into changing them out.
I think I can modify the grips to fit the bars even though all of the grips I've looked at in the catalogs say they are not for these type of handle bars. I think all of the problem is having access to the air fill valve if I was to change to one of these grips I kind of wanted to go with a set of grips sold by J&P cycles part #501-293 or #5000135 the #501-293 looks like what is now on the bike. You guys have any advice?

I like the kuryakyn iso-grips.

From the web site:
Because of their unique removable end caps, this is one of the only custom grips available that may be used with stock air reservoir type handlebars.
Forget the bull"Potty mouth" - it's all about two wheels and a motor!
