It's been a while since Chicago, Zanotti and Jenni have been compared. Is Jenni still top dog for parts prices, shipping prices and customer service?
I need to order a ton (to me anyway) of parts to do a fuel injection to carb conversion and would like to save some money.
If there is a backorder situation who handles it best?
Listen to the jingle the rumble and the roar.

I have spent thousands of dollars with Jenni. She has found me parts others couldn't or wouldn't find. In the past if they did not have everything you would get one charge for shipping on the first part of the order and no charge for the remaining parts that were not in stock. On my last order that changed and I was charged shipping 3 times on one order because it took 3 times to fill my order. Jenni has made a couple of mistakes in the past but has always corrected them to my satisfaction.

That being said since the additional shipping charges I check Zannotti and Chicago online for pricing and they will quote the shipping charges before you complete the order. A couple of times Zannotti has been quite a bit cheaper so I have gone with them. I generally use chicago HD because it gives the list price and their price you can then compare it to Zannotti. If neither is better than 20% Jenni gets my order

Barry until just NOW I didn't have any experiences to compare as I always shopped with Jenny. She answers emails 7 days a week - BIG plus!
This last time I need a voltage regulator as I fixed 'Gracie' on the cheap a couple of weeks back and only replaced the stator without buying a voltage regulator (lack of $$$).

Last week I had the jingle to get the voltage regulator and found that Jenny was out on vacation - hey I can't hold a vacation against anyone! And her quick 'auto-reply' email let me know she was gone for the week.

So based on what I've read in here I looked Zanotti's up - I REALLY love their .pdf file online that lists e v e r y t h i n g  they currently have in stock. BIG PLUS! The ordering process was equally easy as is Jenny's and the part arrived right on time as advertised. I wasn't expecting quite such a substantial price difference - but (at least in this case) the ATM card receipt tells the tale:
Zanottis: 74505-97A  'in stock' - $159.10 to my door
Jenny:  74505-97A  'in stock' - $181.60 to my door
Republic HD: 74505-97A 'in stock' - $214.95 (WHEW!!!)<<<<<sure I can enjoy a ride across Houston (if I survive it eh?) for the privilege of paying over $50 more? NO WAY Jose!

So at least on this 'round Zanotti wins hands down - I will still make Jenny my "first call / email" (for no other reason than we like her!) but you can BET I'll do double duty shopping Zanotti's to compare from now on!

I have always gotten the best deal from Zanotti's and I have tried dealing with Jenny but she never has beat Zanotti's when all is said and done.   John at Zanotti's has provided excellent help.

My preference is Jenni as well, but I don't shop around either. Overall, I'm very happy with her service and charges. Had some bad experiences with Chicago HD losing orders and never tried Zanotti's.  That being said, I'd love to see someone offer an additional discount based upon a minimum order, say -25% off a minimum $1000 order. In fact, I've got a wish list I'm sitting on right now that's about $1650, mostly some early Christmas purchases for my fiance's Deluxe.

You're known by the promises you keep. Not the promises you make!

Another place that gives you 20%off is Surdyke HD. Atleast they did the last time I ordered from them little over a year ago.

Bigs

Jenni can get you a lot of other parts and not necessarily Harley parts at 20% off.

so does Zanotti's any think in Drag specialties they sell at discount.  If you have the part number you can plug it in and see what it will cost including shipping.

Yeah, where did Jenni go? She used to be at Benjy's, now Charlies Harley in Huntington, WV. I know she hasn't been there in a long time. Charlies still give the 20% off with part number or at least about a month ago they did on my last order and Jim was excellant to deal with there.
I deal with Brian and Jim a ton at Hales HD, Jenni's old, old home. Been dealing with Hales for about 5 or 6 years and only ever had two problems and they took care of it immediately. I haven't dealt with Zanottis as yet but will give them a try someday. Spidey.

YES!

I may say we have now multiple internet discounters. Good luck with your next order whoever gets your business.

I have tried Jenni, Zanotti and Lake Shore H-D of Libertyville of IL
Zanotti makes it easy to deal w/them. They are reliable and accurate. All the people that works there as John and Patty, are really great. Lake Shore normal discount is 20% gives you FREE shipping for orders above $500 (almost any order is over $500) and a flat rate of $10 shipping for ALL orders.
With Jenni, I had way too many problems. I never had a tracking number (Zanotti and Lake shore goes by UPS quantumview) and I had wrong parts, open packages with some screw/bolts missing, wrong size jacket, my "Chrome dollars" were highly confusing credited it, well, I am forgetting some others issues.

First time I heard of Jenni is at Hales HD in central Ohio. Last time I was there they told me they still do 20% on mail order items, not over the counter. Jenni is now the GM at Tri-County HD which is north of Cinni., Ohio. I believe her husband bought the dealership a couple years ago. She gives 20% and can find hard to get items for you. However, the shipping cost vary. Still she is great to do business with. Zanotti's, which is only 30 m. away, will give 20% + on all orders and their service is pretty good also. Any problems give John a call.  I have also had what I thought to be high charges for shipping from Zanotti on occasion. Never tried Cgo. Only other dealer I have done business with is Crystal River HD in Fl. They no longer do discount. So to me it is a toss up between Jenni and Zanotti

Please don't move this post to the shed, we have one there already.
The "shed" isn't that big, don't need another.

Looks like Ronnie's and TNT Actionsports closed their online partsfinder. Any alternative?
