Not sure where to post this so here will have to do. I am going to swap paint sets on my bike.  Does any thing need to be done to preserve the gas tank from corrosion? I know the older tanks were a pain and wpuld corrode easy. Thanks.

Get some fogging oil from a marine store and spray liberally in them, then wrap in plastic bags and store.

Tsani, About 25 years ago I decided to store my '78 750 Kaw until my kids were old enought to support themselves.  (That lasted until a buddy showed up on a Harley.......and here I am!)

I cleaned the bike stem to stern and put STP in the gas tank, rotating the tank so all surfaces were covered.  Last year I got the bike out of storage and opened the tank.  It was as shiny and new looking as when the tank was new.  Don't know if STP is good for anything else, but it seems to cling to even verticle surfaces nearly forever.
