I put a new tire on yesterday and noticed the rear brake pads need replaced. I called Lyndall racing brakes (LRB) today in California. Then did not return the call. Do you have to buy from a distributor? I have heard and read good things about Lyndall and wanted to give them a try.

Jeffd

eastern performance is the best deal I have found.  better than buying direct.

I'd wait and call Lyndall again.  Be sure to speak to Paul.  I got a set of Z pads last year, didn't get around to putting them on until this past Aug.  When I put them on, I had a squeak out of the pads.  Called Paul back and explained the problem.  He shipped me a set of golds without a problem or additional charge.  He said it's rare, but occasionally they may get a pad that squeaks and they stand behind their product and will make things right.  Not sure how easy it would be to get a replacement set in the mail unless they had you on file as a customer.  You may have to go through Dennis Kirk, and I would not want to rely on that process being as easy.  Besides, Paul gives HTT customers a discount if you mention you saw them in HTT and ask for your discount.

Oh, as an afterthought.. love the Lyndall Gold pads.  Great stopping power right out of the box.  Also, you can change the rear pads without dropping the wheel again.  Procedure is in the shop manual, or you can go to the current edition of East Coast Biker magazine and see my write up on how to do it. http://www.eastcoastbiker.net Just go to the website and clik on the icon for viewing the current months issue.  It will give you a flip book version of the magazine (nothing to download software wise).

how much is a set worth for an 03 flht

Thanks again. That is why I called them first. I wanted to buy direct. When they did not call back I thought they may prefer sales go through a distributor. I'll try them one more time in the morning.

When you call them remember they are on Pacific time, especially if your on the East coast,,,

I'm a dealer for them but quite frankly with the cost of shipping and all you would be better off just calling Paul and ordering direct. Let him know you are an HTT member as he used to give discounts to HTT'rs. Either way you won't find a better pad for the price or better service or a better person to deal with either. Great folks at Lyndall. Spidey.

I got mine directly from Lyndall.  Mention HTT and get a discout.  They also threw in a free t-shirt.  I got the gold pads, and they were about $177 for my FLHT.

..thanks schrec..for the cost on an FLHT..they are not cheap..HD dealer here in Southern Ontario wants 75.00 canadian per set for original parts...the front pads last forever..but the rear set I change with every rear  tire change..10,000 miles since almost all miles are riding with OL on back..and it wears tire and rear brake a little quicker..
