Here is my 1983 FXRS

Stock bore and stroke
S&S Cylinders
stock heads
9.5/1 WISECO forged pistons
Andrews A2 cam (thinking about going to a Leineweber L3S, comments please)
S&S Super E
Paughco Replica FXR exhaust

I am tall so went with the forward controls instead of mids
Paint scheme is same colors as was stock, Vivid Black with gold pin stripe and decals.
Yes it has the wrong front fender for the year.  I think it looks better.

There are no bad days, just days you cannot ride.

And that, my friends, is what a motorcycle should look like.

Oh...Each their own...I love the Mid FLHS ElectraGlide Sport

Or certainly the SuperGlide...

Good thing we are not all having the same taste...Huh?

But still my first love

Old Crow

yeah, yeah.  My back won't let me ride a rigid frame any more either, but I still think the "Billy Bike" or anything resembling it as the way a motorcycle should look.
It's the way my Ironhead was set up, and it's the way my Triumph before that was set up.
Now I ride a full boat FLT, or one that's been stripped to FLHS trim, or, occasionally, my wife's FXEF.
Just 'cuz my body got old, doesn't mean I don't remember my youth fondly.
This ain't Dodge City, and you ain't Bill Hickock.

ShovelBigot

Here's my 82 FXRS. Factory original paint mostly original rest. Rubber mounted 5 speed. I bought this bike in 1990 and I've been riding it and wrenching it for 25 years. It is the miracle shovel in that it does not leak anything from anywhere except occasionally wet sumps out the breather.[attach=0]

Good lookin scooter
I'm partial to FXR's and Shovels too...Double yer pleasure double yer fun..

Haven't looked at this thread in a while.  Great bikes one and all!  Strokerswild, sweet shovel/pan.  I like the tin derby cover air cleaner.  Did you make that yourself?  And all those beautiful FXRs!  So nice.  That SuperGlide Racepres posted has always been one of my favorites.  Probably because 1977 was about the time I started getting into Harleys.  I was 15 years old and very impressionable.
