Logging in and other ailments..........

I'm not understanding the problem(s) this site seems to have.   I should be able to get out and come back the next day and have it recognize me as a member.......but Noooooooooo,  It seems I have to sign in again every time and even though I have asked it to recognize my password,  it won't do it.

Also,  I can go several days and get in and click on "new topics I haven't read"..........there are none!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
