Does anyone know the difference in part numbers 27614-99 and 27613-99. I am converting my 2000 FLHTCUI from MM EFi to Carb. Now I have on my hand 27614-99, but everyone else suggesting 27613-99, what is the difference?

What tells you it's P/N 27614-99 ?  Is it the number cast into it, my guess is yes, if so then it's the casting number NOT the part number.

EDIT: I just had a look at a new still in the box manifold P/N 27613-06 and guess what it's casting number is, yep you guessed it, 27614-06.

LOL!! sometimes you wonder what is going on in their mind when they create all that confusion. No wonder, been trying to look for 27614-99 on any online HD parts store and it never return a match.

Uwiik,

Out of curiosity, what ignition harness, ignition module and carb are you going to use?

I'm doing the same thing to my 2000 FLHTPI. I ended up ordering the 32435-00 ignition harness because the 32435-01 couldn't be found.  Using a CV40, and still hemming and hawing about what ignition module to get (used Stock or DTT). What are you doing for the air-cleaner backing plate?

For what its worth, there's a shop here in Denver that showed me how they mounted a standard $12.95 petcock by drilling and tapping a threaded plug they got from a hardware store that screwed into the tank. They stuffed a filter screen into the back of the plug, but there's probably a better way than that to do a filter.

32435-01 harness is now obsolete,go figure,it was about $ 50.00 less than the currently available 32435-00.
IMO,I would use the DTT (2 plug) ign. box, and Mikuni carb. A 42 Mikuni will work with a stock manifold.Use the stock map sensor(from the MM)and all you'll need is the clamp(#38723-99) and screw.

ReadyJoe, I am still in the conversion process. I opt to convert my ignition system to 2004 style ignition (single plug) from DTT (well, not really opt but ordered the wrong parts). Don't follow my route, it's a total PITA, I have finally managed to figure out the mods to make this 2004 up ignition works on my 2000 bike, but it took my 4 days and strained eyes comparing 2000-2001-2002-2003-2004 wire diagram.
I would suggest getting aftermarket ignition because of the possibility to fine tune the ignition should you wish to do performance mod to your engine.
For ignition harness, I suggest you contact Don from Wire Plus, He manufacture and sell so may version of wire harness, cheaper and IMHO better wire material comapred to the OEM version. He's got dual plugs harness with or without cam position sensor wire, and single plug harness for 2004 up.  I don't want to use 32435-00 harness because I want to get rid of the cam position sensor found on 2000 model, less sensor is better, less headache to deal with later in the future. Also if later you want to upgrade to 07 style camplate, cam, and oil pump, if you still have cam position sensor functional, you need to spend more on aftermarket 34T cam sprocket.

I am using Mikuni 42 for the carb. Make sure you buy full twin cam 88 version, it comes with air cleaner backing plate adapter, jet kit, throt cable lube, and good manual. I bought mine from Henley kustom parts, got it cheap there. Since you have MM EFI system with 4 screws backing plate, you need to buy delphi or carb style backing plate (3 screws) to fit your current air filter to the mikuni adapter. Just the backing plate, no need to buy the whole breather kit. If you are handy with drill, you can also adapt your air filter to accept 3 screws mount (assuming you have the screaming eagle air filter).
As for tank conversion, do yourself and your bike a favor. Just buy the tank conversion kit and high flow fuel petcock from Pingel, they have two version, MM tank conversion kit and Delphi tank conversion kit, make sure you buy the right one. If you find the right shop, you can have the Pingel plug conversion for $38, and the pingel fuel petcock for $76, it's not that expensive, no drilling required, just plug and play, no hassle. I got mine from Herko when I bought my 07 camplate conversion.
