What's the best ignition for a mild build 95 in a 99 Road King? Screaming Eagle, Crane HI-4, HeadQuarters HQ-6100? Any starting issues with any? thanks for your help...ross

hard to beat stock in a mild build.  DTT has a big following and makes the HQ and may make the Crane (out of business) too.

Yep, DTT and HQ-6100 are the same thing but software to operate each is proprietary.
DTT software will not read the HQ and vice versa

I have a Daytona twin tec t/c88A and HQ6204 and HQ6304 and HQ software and they work fine together.  When I ordered the software from HQ I spoke with Doug and he told me they would work fine together and that the only diff was that the ignition module  labled HQ6100 had his custom curve loaded into it already.  He said no problem interfacing the two and loading his curves in the DTT.  It may not work the other way but I know it works hq software to dtt.

You are correct. The HG software will talk to the DTT but the DTT software won't talk to the HQ6100.
My bad

Crane was bought out right away by the same investment firm that owes J&P cycle, Vance and Hines, just to name a few.

Crane not going anywhere.  Also heard that S&S my want a piece of the Crane action also.

ANNIVERSARY DEUCE

The S&S IST works well for me. I put it on when bike was stock and have upgraded engine several times since 03, including a fairly strong build now. It adjusts to whatever you do. S&S extends their engine warranties on their engines when used.
