Oil pressure and charging

Looks like winter has pretty much set in. Don't have any motor work to do so now I have time to add a couple "nice to know" items. First is the charging system, any recommendations on brand, something fairly small and easy to mount type of charging indicator?
Second, I would like to get an idea of what my oil pressure is mainly for a trend. I would like to connect it to the oil screen fitting, with a hard line up to the rear cylinder rocker box screws with a tab for support. Any problems with tapping oil pressure from this point. Any brands/styles good/better/best?
Also a small tach would be nice but I'll save that for another topic.  Bike is 1997 Dyna Superglide
