Have a new 2010 Ultra Limited 103.  Planning to install V&H Power Duals, V&H High Output mufflers and SE AC.  May make additional mods in the future. What are your thoughts on the ECU? Thundermax Autotune or SERT?  Leaning towards Thundermax as not to become a slave to the Dealership.  The stock exhaust is crazy hot now that the CAT is in the headpipe.  Will my warantee become totally void with the Thundermax?

Well, being your is an 2010  touring they dont make a Thundermax for that so that should help you with your desicion, which is too bad because I am a big Thundermax fan, Todd
Poor planning on your part does not make an emergency on my part

I've tried the TMax with so so results. IMO, get a good tuning device and stick with the factory ECM. Have it tuned by someone that knows how to do it right. You can't get the TMax anyway right now.

I have contacted Zipper and the TM will be available as soon as they finish working up the Base Maps

Apples and Oranges
With the SERT you should get it tuned on a dyno for optimum results. Canned maps usually leave a good bit on the table.
Tmax is load a map and go ride, let it adjust itself. Dyno tune the tmax will just make it better but not by much.
Most of the problems I have seen with the Tmax were operator error ie; wrong map to begin with or incorrect setup on installation.
Yes! I am an Infidel.
And proud of it!

That is a real easy decision, neither of those are available for your bike.

SERT was discontinued a few years ago.  SEST is now the HD offering.

ThunderMax is not yet released.

I like the TTS MasterTune as many others here will agree. The TTS is the most advanced tuning device available. You have more control of more tools than you do with any other tuning device.  I will not bore you with a list. If you are not that concerned about getting the last drop of performance and responsiveness out of your bike or the most control of how your engine functions, some of the other tuning devices will work fine.

No slavery necessary, just a good tuner. Most realize the dealers are not experts with tuning so they are not the first choice anyway.

Using TTS Mastertune to recalibrate your ECM for cooler running as well as best performance is superior to any other solution, IMO.

Think about it this way: How can a dealer honor a running issue warranty if the entire engine management system has been replaced with an aftermarket system?
If you break down on the road and have it towed to a dealer you cannot expect them to diagnose and repair it if none of it is Harley-Davidson's system, right?

One resolve to the warranty issue is to keep all your OEM stuff (ECM, wiring, and sensors) in your saddlebag with some tools so if you break down, while the tow truck is coming, you conceivably could remove/replace the aftermarket ECM with the OEM one and O2 wiring, then use a special O2 sensor socket to remove/replace the wideband sensors with the OEM sensors. Then, hopefully, the dealer can fix your problem with the OEM stuff. Then, when you get back home, you can reinstall the aftermarket stuff and see if that is what caused the problem(s) in the first place.
Just my $.02,

I am with brian on this one. Tts is a really good product and can be used to just about all you would need. Is there a full system out for the 2010 bikes?  :duel:

I have Tmax on my 07 and its good enoug for me.  BUT, if I were to get a '10 and assuming Tmax was made for the '10....I would go TTS and competent tuner.

Leave is stock, or go TTS.  IMO, those are your only choices.  I wouldnt go with a SEST.  JMO again.
