A buddy of mine purchased a 2008 HD XBones at the local dealer ship, the bellt got worn out and snapped after 500miles, it fot replaced twice morw by the dealership. By the thirs time the bike had 2500 miles, they replaced the bike and gave him an 09 model, now the same problem is arising after 1000 miles any ideas whats casing this, are there any recalls from HD?

:hyst: You bragging?
WELL, 275,000 miles on 5 bikes = an average of 55,000 miles per belt/pulley, and they were still good when I sold them. Burnouts , gravel roads, yada yada and no oil all over the bike.........and passenger. Belts usually won't hold up to wheelies on baggers, but who G. A. F.  :teeth:

Let me guess,, 1 1/2 inch belt and Skidlops?  :teeth:

Nothing wrong with the 1 1/2 (though I've broken 2). I've had no problems with the 1 1/8 either (150 tire)... 20mm belt? 200 tire... Hmm.,,, Max
