The B lifters are quieter. They were made by Johnson Hylift. The Delphi lifters are noisy.

I have them in my M8, quiet as the JH in my Evo, and the S&S in my TC.

Isn't this thread  kind of moot since neither A or B are available anymore?  Last time I did any work on mine I put in a set of cheap Comp Cams V Thunder lifters.  They usually tick a little cold but do fine after a couple of minutes and have not grenaded in 13000 miles (fingers crossed).

i would go with the sel model slow leak down , pin oil and limiters,

if looking for something different i would get jims steady roll bushing lifter and add limiters , can get on ebay for like 123 a lifter yep spendy
