Im designing my own 3/4" version for Fast Aire & just thought Id see what everyone else was using. Ill have them done in about a month.

I have some 3/4", can't remember who I got them from.  Word of caution for anyone who gets them, if you are a heavy leaner (like me) be carefull.  the extenders were a big part of me hitting the ground late last year. The floor boards were scraping (usuall for me) and then I leaned a little to far and got on the floor board bracket- rear end shot out and I hit the "Potty mouth"n ground-Hard- slid 26'  :smileo:

Scoots all back together 6K worth of damage and I did install the extenders again, but I built a memory map on how much to lean.

Just my experience.

I used the 1" kit for about 2 years now. Great product!

I'm using 3/4" from KuryAkyn and like them.   I'm also using a set of 3/4" on the passenger floorboards I had made up by a friend.

I have enough trouble maneuvering at slow speeds with the passenger floorboards down.  My feet hit them.  Could not see having them extended.  I would probably dump it.  I am 5'9" with 30" inseam.

I am not agressive in the curves and use the 1" ext. I like them, keeps my feet better on the floor boards.   Doc

Me too, mine was also lowered 1" front and rear along with the extenders. After 8K in damages I put the bike back to stock height but left the extenders on.

Eglider05,
Yeah I forgot mine is lowered with the FLHX shocks on the rear.  So that was a contributor as well.  I left it lowered with the extenders on.  I am certainly more aware when I tun now.....

I bought ¾ inch extenders at Laughlin a few years ago.  Didn’t notice much more comfort but did scrape the floorboards in the turns much more.  Took them off because I didn’t want to unload the rear tire.  I think they are dangerous.

Thanks for the comments...

Ive read many comments about extenders on the net and it seems that the 3/4" is the most common size. I have a 3/4" set on my 07 SG and I have to say Ive never scrapped them once nor the stock floorboards either. I do ride often in the Tahoe mountains so Ive seen many curves. This leads  me to think that although the extenders do reduce the lean angle of the bike, the less aggressive riders like myself would not notice the difference.

But not the same for a friend who delights in throwing floorboard sparks from his lowered 06 RK. I put a set of the 3/4" on his bike & he came back the next day and said to take them off, really didnt like them.

So they are not for everyone.

I'll have them available late this month and the installation instructions will have a warning disclaimer and so will my website.

Thanks
Jim
