xm satellite road tech al20 ?

where does everyone ruuning add on xm  put antenna it is magnetic  mount ? i just bought one of these setups for my 03 flht and where to put receiver that does not look like hell ?,i have 13"apes on bike if that matters ,thanks pete

I have mine on top of my radio. The reception is the same whether you mount it outside or inside the fairing. I used silicone around the xm ant. to keep it from sliding lose.

my antenna is only 1-1/2 square ,are there different strenght antenna for better reception ?thanks pete

As I have an aftermarket radio with a handlebar interface control pod, and a digital gauge adapter box, and the XM gear (all in the fairing), there is no place on the top of my radio to put the antenna.

So, I epoxied a 3" x 6" rectangle of 16GA sheet steel to the underside of my fairing above the headlight, then stuck the small XM antenna to it.

Works great.

Just my .02, hope it helps.
My pride is cheap, my Harley is not.
