Anyone have updated info on this?  Looks like last year was moved to New Bern NC. That's 150 miles north of MB. Will be a long ride if stayed in wrong area. Too bad MB messed this one up, was it any good last year? Would like to go again any info (recommendations) appreciated.

It looks like HD & HOG may become more involved in the ralley- keeping it in Myrtle Beach.
Hopefully folks will come together on this and return it to a fun ralley.

The Ralley is still there. Moved the venders out of Myrtle Beach but North Myrtle and the area south is still hopping. Surfside, Horrey County all still love bikes and the ralley. Just stay out of MB proper which is not a large area.

I went last year and thought it was fine. Attendance was down, and most of the "louder" stuff moved to NMB. I'll probably go again this year because it's really the first rally, and for me, it's a good ride to get there.

Check out www.outerbanksbikeweek.com. I've been there the last two years and will be there again this year. This year it's been extended - April 18-25, 2010.

As of right now, nobody is promoting a "Spring Rally" Yes last year the Harley Dealer Association moved their "gathering" to New Bern which maybe drew 3000 - 4000.  The Main Rally was Promoted by Myrtle Beach Harley (not a member of the Dealer group.  Their promoter was Mike Shank (Festival Promotions) who also promotes a bunch of City sponsored events.  He was sueing the city but dropped it (hmmmm,  wonder why?).  He did promote last year's Spring & Fall Rallies, but no word yet on this year.  Without a promoter or organizer will there even be a rally?  There is talk of HOG having something in North Myrtle,, but nothing definate at this point.

My opinion screw 'em.  We're headed to Gatlinburg to ride where they want us and appreciate our money.

Thanks for the info guys!  The "better half" loves the area and we enjoyed this rally for some years, was hoping they got this straightened out by now to do it again.

I dont need a promoter to go to an area. Think this has a following that will be there for years. People own places there or get good camping with all the nice campgrounds. Will it be smaller? I can only hope as it was thinned out some last year and probably was the nicest since 2000. I probably shouldn't have let that out. Yeah, Everyone go to Gatlinburg.

I agree last spring was pretty nice without the crowds...I've been going to MBBW for 20 years and will be there again this year promoter or not.

Saw some stuff through ABATE that the town of North Myrtle Beach has applied for permits to hold the rally there this year.  Don't know if Harley will be having an event there but this may still draw many vendors

I went for the Fall rally last year and stayed in Cherry Grove, nice town and the people were very friendly, don't think i will give MB anymore of my money........EVER.   :dgust:
