By arranged plans, on 12/27/09, my wife and I met up with Grumpy (the gent that takes all the bikini beach shots).
Grumpy recommended that we stop at Destination Daytona, a HD dealer and glad we did.
Talk about candy stores....here-in is some of that candy:

This is the store front of Destination Daytona.....BIG.
This dealer owns (so they tell me) the shopping complex housing I would guess some 20 stores....big $$

If you strain your peepers to the left <<< is J&P Cycles...also a big place.   Pixs inside J&P later in another post.

Entering the front door, your greeted like this.........

That's the wife in center, blue coat speechless, until we got outside.

Glistening, and all new........candy!

From the other end.

Bikes were mounted high up around the three walls.  I spotted the third bike I owned a 1962 FLH. Although not this same one, I sold mine in 1963....loaded for $1,000....AAA condition too..sniff.

Now, going upstairs, are the used bikes and the service dept.
They all looked new, from choppers to the flat heads they were here to some degree

Second floor...used

The service dept.  I saw a guy drive by on a touring bike doing about 10 mph.....amazing place & this is the second floor. :nix:

Looking down from the second floor.....accessory dept. at the top of the pix.

Like I said, we met with "The Man" Grumpy....and his machine.

A rare shot of Grumpy with his camera & yours truly.

Yes, for those that have heard but not seen, you can drive on the beach at Daytona.  Speed limit 10 mph, but not by the water.   They keep you high up on the beach.

As you're coming into Daytona from the south side this is what greets you.   The international speedway is to the right>>>>.

They told me Specialx1....aka Goofy was here.
We just had to wind up our stay at Disney looking for him.

Soon after we left the temps plunged to 26 degrees.
We went back to Pa. where it was warm.
I haven't been to bike week in Daytona but I now know why the bikers love this place.
Maybe someday, maybe if I had a few to ride with I'd do it.
The place is clean even the adjoining Ormond Beach. (Grumpy's Home)  The people are pleasent and the prices for store goods are about the same at home.
Hope you enjoyed the tour, think Spring.

Everyone wants to change the world but, no one wants to change the toilet paper.

Nice pic's . Glad you got to meet to Grumpy.  I have never met him, but I can tell you he would give you his shirt off his back if you really need it. I have only chatted with him on here a few times. Think alot of him for taken pic's every week for us.

Panzer, if theres a Harley heaven i think it would look like the pics you took. Sounds like you had a great time, and then get to go back to Pa. wow, best of two worlds. Ive been to Datona a few times, but if i had to relocate, Pa. would be it. Thanks for the pics. Preacher Son
FTW          I've had a good life

Bigs

Panzer: did you get the itch to get a touring bike yet. They are definitely more enjoyable to ride than old yeller.

Great pics, and great meet you and Marie.  I failed though, I should have taken you to Destination as part of the tour.

Great photos Panzer!  I appreciate the time you took to share them.  Are you sure that isn't your daughter in the one photo?

Blazing Saddles

Panzer:  Great to see that '62 FLH - I had one as well and like so many others chopped it into a 12" over, 1/2" raked rigid frame, king sportster tank etc. etc.   I'd love to still have it in either original or chopped form.
