I have  an H-D heated jacket and Gerbing gloves and a dual heat controller which uses a coaxial plug to connect to the battery of the bike. I also have a battery tender pigtail that is an SAE plug.
I would like to eliminate the coaxial pigtail from the battery and plug the heat controller into the battery tender plug.
I bought an adapter sold by Gerbing that says CONTROLLER ADAPTER ONLY.
I discovered that is only good to go between the controller's coaxial plug and the garment's SAE plug.
If anyone needs this adapter gratis let me know.

I found the same problem, I sure dont want two pigtails hanging out.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I use coax only - coax in the jacket and controller and one coax pigtail hanging off the battery.  Either the controller is plugged into that pigtail, or the Battery Tender.  Since the Battery Tender uses SAE, I bought a "Coax Plug Adapter Cable 6 inch to SAE Connector" for $7.96 that is now attached to the Battery Tender.

The one you have is the same as mine. It will reverse the polarity, does it work?

A friend of mine just got the heated jacket and gloves. Very nice, I could see
where girls would like that.  :hyst: Just kiddin If I had the $400 to spare I'd
have a set too, TOASTY. Clean setup, he mounted the dual controllers on the
dash beside the switch where the two blanks were, and mounted the jacket
connectors under the frame where the seat nose is. I'm jealous, will be great.

OK I looked it over and see that it will work like that, but I want to get rid of the coaxial connector do to corrosion on the center post. The SEA has been on there for years and no corrosion.

I put a piece of Velcro on the frame along side of the seat and Velcro wrapped around the Gerbing plug and when it is not used it pretty much stays out of the way and is more or less hidden from view.

I never bought the adapter for the controller. Just plug everything into the battery tender plug. Cut it off and put ends that fit your battery tender plug. Won't matter which way it is hooked up I think.

I use the coax connector for both the Gerbing's and the Tender.  Never had an issue with rust, corrosion or poor connection.   Use some electrolytic grease on the connector.

Yes, has worked fine for a couple of years.  When I'm not plugged in I keep the pigtail coax plug capped with a vaccuum cap.

The coax is superior to the SAE, which is why just about every company has abandoned it for the BMW plug or coax. Coax will pull out without damage if you forget to unhook and get off the bike. Not that anyone would do that, of course.

I have the coax plug coming up to the front of the seat for me and up the hole in the seat for my passenger, the little caps have long since been taken off and I have had no issues at all. I also want to give a heads up on the service, I sent my gloves and liner back because my left glove was losing power occasionally, they rewired both gloves and I also asked them to add some wire to the liner for the gloves to make it easier to connect they fixed everything and sent it back all no charge, and all within 4 weeks.
