I need help in calibrating the Kuryakyn fuel/battery gauge

I can't seem to calibrate my new kuryakyn fuel/battery gauge. Instead of just the one green calibrate led, I get two of them light up. When I think the gauge is going to the calibration cycle,the empty and full leds blink, and it goes back to the original settings it doesn't go to the cycle like it should. I have only a gal of gas in the tank, and it should calibrate to empty. Second question...I have a used Kuryakyn fuel/battery gauge which I'm trying to reset it, but how do you reset the gauge? I have been trying for hours to calibrate it....need all the help I can....

Thanks for the instructions, but I followed it step by step..but it still doesn't calibrate and continue to flash on empty.
