New, used?  Do they make much of a difference?

I sure get a kick from the advertising technique of offering "quiet" baffle replacements for D&D - BUB, etc.
Maybe a tad less offensive but sure not much.

I had quiet baffles in Rinehart TD's...they might be a little quieter at idle, but still bark pretty good.
