which wire to where on coil

It's been a while since I hooked up a dual fire coil. As I remember, it doesn't matter which terminal the ignition wire runs to and which one comes from the points, right?

Th only time it matters is if you are running a tach. Then the tach wire has to be connected to the same terminal as the points.

If you have an HD points coil, it doesn't matter. If you got a tach the pink and white wire go together. Some of the aftermarket coils have a + on them to indicate switched power and have to be hooked up like that to keep the spark jumping in the right direction. (Usually for CDI Ignitions)
