While this build was on the dyno with Bob, twice the engine started running on one cylinder after quite a few pulls (hot),  once the front cylinder failed to fire, second time the rear cylinder fails to fire,  both time shut the engine off and wait a bit, fired right back up like nothing happen,   yesterday went for a good hard pull thru 4 gears and let go of the throttle, it started running on one cylinder.... pull over and sat for 5 min. thinking I dropped a cylinder (hit the rev limiter) fire the bike up again and runs fine.   I havent done any diagnostics.   thinking maybe the PCIII could be dropping cylinder?   has this happen to anyone else?

My PCIII apparantly caused a fuel injector to burn out (?).  I was getting a check engine light after a hard hiway pull but it did not store codes that I could read.   FInally took to dealer to  check codes and dealer read two codes (I cant remember which ones cause they were bizzare). Dealer said they were "phantom" codes and re-flashed the ECM;  $100 bucks.

About 2 weeks later, 500 miles from home, on a 104 degree summer day, the rear cylinder quit.   With the PCIII out, it did the same thing.  It also threw code (bad rear injector
).  Rear injector was bad.  Replaced injector.  Ran fine.  Installed PCIII, ran like "Potty mouth".  CAUSE:  It seems the PCIII was intermittently crapping out.  FInally, PCIII over duty-cycled the rear injector (so we suspect) and burned it out as well.  New rear injector, new PCIII.  I dont have the where-with-all to trouble shoot injector problems but I suppose you could TS with a Digital Volt meter if you could catch it when it was failing (and compare the two cylinders).  Sorry, that was not much help....

Hi all i had a PCIII on my 99 roadking, the bike started to run like crap. I looked at every thing and could not find the problem, so i removed the PCIII and the bike run great, re installed the PCIII and again the bike run like crap (ruff idle, running hot and every now and then dropping the rear cylinder) disconnected the PCIII and again the bike runs great. Have not had the PCIII on for 2 months now and NO Problems.
Ride hard but stay the right way up.
