p1356 rear cylinder no cumbustion efi this is the code that came up on my 04 ultra
its a 95" hippo build with compression releases.
Any ideas on what would bring this up? It seems to run fine but the light comes on after start up and then goes out. Cleared the code last year and it stayed off for awhile , but this spring it came back on.

I just checked my buds 08 ultra and he has the same code.
Anybody know what it means?

From the EDM

Diagnostic Trouble Codes P1353, P1356, P1357, P1358: No Combustion

A feedback voltage signal in the secondary ignition circuit detects the presence of combustion each time
a cylinder fires on ECM Pin XX. For diagnostic purposes, this signal is only analyzed under load above 2000 rpm where it may be easily measured.
Failure to detect combustion at high speed and load means one of following conditions exist.

●    Cylinder is truly misfiring.

●    There is a lack of continuity in the ignition coil secondary circuit.

==============================

With reference to the "this signal is only analyzed under load above 2000 rpm"  I'd just ignore it at start up.

Try the spark plug boots on rear cylinder, or the spark plugs for loose head, 90% of this code here is bad sparkplugs wires fitting on spark plugs.

Had the same problem on my 04 FLHRC. (intermittent)  Swapped the plug wire. The trouble follow the plug wire. Replaced. No more codes.

Can also be caused by plugs...had that code on my 04 fatty...has put SE plugs in it and started getting code when I got on it alittle... put plat tip stock plugs in and never got code again

I have seen this one a couple time and it has been a loose plug wire or bad plug each time for me.  The good thing is that both of these are quick and inexpensive to fix.

That's for diagnostic purposes that it's only analyzed that way.  That's what the text says to me, at any rate.

if you have those chrome plug covers dump them, the rubber under them to insulate them can break down or shift, if it does the plug can arc to the cyl, causing misfires etc.

Maybe a loose plug wire, bad plug, coil, bet is on the wire..
