I'll be going over to a friend's house today to try and help straighten out a problem. It's a brand-new, Evo style 113" Ultima, with a Mikuni 45, but I figured it would get more play over here. The front manifold-to-head seal keeps leaking once the motor warms up. He's changed the seals 3 or 4 times, and it'll be fine until it warms up, then it leaks. He found the manifold that came with it was slightly out-of-round on the front side, with the gasket rolled into the port, so they sent a new one. He says it's better, but still not right.

This guy has been wrenching a lot of years, and is a truck & heavy equipment mechanic by trade. I'm fully confident that it's not anyghing he's doing wrong. I know I've seen a lot of threads about intake seals on here, and am hoping somebody here has the answer in their bag-o'-tricks. I'll check in later today when I get to his place. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Forget the bull"Potty mouth" - it's all about two wheels and a motor!

Intake leak is fixed, and it's on the way to the tuner. It still seems lean (possibly a timing issue?), but the tuner should be able to fix that.

With Ultima motors, the intake manifold is typiaclly 1.8 inches.. OD is something like 1.910  (stock HD OD is about 1.8)  You need special manifold rubbers. If not you can crush the manifolds spigot and cause a leak.. Max
