What spark plugs and wires are you running?
80 CI Evo
Heads ported by Big Boyz
Had Heads shaved .60, and used .030 Cometic Head Gasket. It has between 9.5, and 10.0 for Compression. I did a compression test, and had 170 PSI per cylinder.
Andrews EV 27 Cam
Daytona Twin Tech Ignition
SE Highflow AirCleaner
SE Dual Fire Coil
Stock Keihlin Carb with Thunderslide, and jet kit, 185 Main jet, .45 pilot

I'm running Crane firewire and good ol' champion plugs . That is with a CCC of 195 in each cyllinder . I have never had any luck with accel products or NO Good Kind  . They seem to foul out easy and Champions are only 2 bucks apiece .

Running fairly close set up to yours 10.5 comp. with Mik 42 carb
I bought the Daytona Twin Tech 307 kit which included the single fire coil and plug wires.
Use Autolite 4265 plugs. Seem to work great get 2 seasons no problem.

Accel 10mm

Running NGK plugs as well. I have to use TC plugs as the SE heads use the smaller plugs. Dyna 2K ignition on single fire with no problems.

"good ol' champion plugs "

Ironhead.....Maybe Champion now has their act together relative to (quality control),  but if like me,  back in the late 60's and early 70's and trying to keep a two stroke Spanish (Bultaco) enduro bike going,  you would get tired of Champion plugs real quickly.  We used to use their (gold palladium) plugs and (if) you got a good one it worked great,  but more times than not,  they would foul up/break down in a hurry.

So,  I guess I haven't bothered with 'em for close to 40 yrs. :hyst:

Using Kuryakyn 8mm Taylor molded yellow wires and Champion plugs. Tried Splitfire and NGK but Champion works well for me. Gaping 0.038" for a quick fire. Had SS braided wires and they were good but getting old and thought I would try these. Working very good as well!

I know Harley plugs are made by Champion. But they are for a stock motor. I am running higher compression, I wonder if I need a colder plug?

baldoldfxr

HD plugs, leads & caps-8mm from the local motor factors. my plugs are located centraly in the heads.
an increase in comp ratio doesn't automaticly mean you need a different plug, but it might.
