Seat for Road Glide 2010

Hi guys, can you tell me your opinion on your stock RGC seat? If you hated it and changed it what did you go to and why. How did the passengers like it (the old) and how do they like the new seat. If you got good buys where did you get them from.

on my 2009 Road Glide - I was slightly on my toes. I purchased the updated Ultra seat - lowered me about 1 - 2 inches and provides much more back support. Passenger area is of course much bigger than the stock seat.

I was able to purchase directly from a dealer for under $150 shipped so although it's nothing fancy it fit my needs and the price was right.

I'm happy with it.

I have a 2010 RG and put a Mustang on.  The 2010 MUstang is very comfortable but I do not like the seat only because it sits me up high and I have short legs.  Am in the process of seeing if I can retrofit my Mustang from my 03 RG.

My stock 09 seat has been fine.

  I think most all the touring bike seats, other than the Electa Glide, are really harder on a passenger, than the rider.  Everyone I have owned, I had to change out the seat for the Wife. Since she started riding her own, the originals have been fine.

rider end on my 09RG stock seat is fine...passenger end sux, I have the ultra touring seat on the bike which makes my wife very happy

Don't mean to hi-jack but, someone else might be able to answer a couple of questions.

NET, Did you buy it new?  How long ago/How many miles?  Wonder if it'll set me higher on my Ultra?
You said it sat you higher on your RG.  Do you know if your stock seat is the same height as the '10 Ultra or is it a lower profile.
I'm asking because I would prefer for my Ultra seat to sit little lower.  Had a company redo the foam, but not much different.  Made it a 150 mile seat vs the stock 50 mile seat.

it will most likely sit you up about the same.  The 2010 RG comes with a very low seat.  If you want low, go with the other Mustang seat (the retro).   I will most likely sell this (bought new and used about 300 miles).  The retro is a good seat but that one will cost $700 retail as it comes with a backrest.
