What does everyone use to clean wide white walls  I just bought a bike that has them and the previous owner must have used something strong because spokes are a little ruff but the bike is a A -1 shape.   Thanks   Shobby Dobby

When I wash the bike, I use the Harley Wheel and Tire cleaner.  Occasionally - once or twice a year if they are dingy, I'll use some lacquer thinner on a rag and lightly wipe them down.  Cleans and brightens them up really well.

I have used "Mr Clean Magic Eraser"
I think they make one for white walls too.

SOS pads if they are really dingy... otherwise, full strength Simple Green.

Haven't run whitwalls for some time but back when I did I found mineral spirits to work totaly excellent. Got 'em very clean and white just by wiping with a wet cloth.

I'll use Westley's with an SOS pad. Normally I'll run whitewalls every other set of tires on the Ultra. I get tired of cleaning them, so I switch to blackwalls. Then I miss the whitewalls, so I switch back.
Shiny side up, rubber side down.

Lacquor thinner.. works great !   I do the white walls dry,
then spray on some Wesleys and wash the wheels and tires,
making sure all is rinsed off well.

I am bad as anybody else about using bleach white, eraser pads, 409 or whatever works to the my white walls clean but was looking at the dunlop tires site and they say not to put any kind of chemicals on the tires because it breaks down the tire walls and could cause accidents. Must be trying to cover their asses because everybody uses whatever they have to to get the white walls clean. Just a thought.
