How was the install? How has your motor held up to occasional use of the juice? Are you happy with the choice to add juice to your street bike overall, or in hindsight was it a stupid ego trip?

Also, is running NOS with cast pistons a sure fire way to toast a motor? I'm also using a 2000i ignition with a nitrous timing retard option. If I remember correctly, it's kind of a rule to use forged pistons with nitrous to help a possible temporary lean running condition, right???

Of course I will use the Pingel 2 outlet petcock for a wet system.

Thanks!!!

PS-in case you are wondering, I want to run it at an 1/8th mile track once in a while just for fun, and see if I am any good at drag racing. This is a hobby drag racing endeavor over a dumb ego trip bolt on. ;)

A sure fire way to buy yourself a new motor is to run it with nitrous.  It may not happen first try, but it will.  Superchargers, turbos, nitrous are all power adders that really shouldn't be used without forged pistons and some strong rods.  As I said, you may get away with it for awhile, but it will catch up with you.

Exactly what I thought. I always ran forged pistons/rpds in my turbo car builds. At Zippers sale price, the NOS kit is mighty tempting, but a new motor is not cheap... Thanks!!!

Went ahead and dropped the $ anyway. If I blow it and don't lose a leg, I'll get a high CI Ultima. If you're wondering-after a heart attack at 40, I have chosen to spend my retirement. No. I am not a yuppie scumbag. Just a scumbag. LOL

Put one on a 2003 98".Install was pretty straight forward. we installed a micro switch on the carb body so you didn't have to push a button. The kit is a little heavy,we had to upgrade the hardware after breaking some of the supplied hardware. Be sure to use loctite. The bike ran a 11.2 et @ 118mph

I was going to put a campbell's soup sticker on the nitrous bottle...

Bike already runs like a raped ape at 4k-any tips on good clutch technique? If you'd rather PM those, I totally understand. Just want to win a couple 1/8th mile races before the ole ticker gives out. LOL

Without forged pistons it won't be long till yer orderin up the shinney new Big Bore Ultima engine. But you'll have a blast till it goes.

VPC the clutch, well worth it!
The forged piston would be a +,but if you put a good soft tuneup on it  you can have some fun till you want to tweak it.
