I bought a 78 lowrider, brand new. I have rode this bike across country several times.
It still looks good for it's age. I finally figured out how to get an antique motorcycle, just keep the one you got.

I'm heading that direction with my '97 Road King. Good idea to keep the one you have, nobody knows that bike better than you do.

Congrats on keeping it nice, that's a good example of a nice bike.

One of the local HD Dealers has an original Low Rider. It's his own private bike, and he still prefers it over new ones. Go figure.
Shiny side up, rubber side down.

I was working at Jake's Harley davidson in Garden city Mi in 78 and set up for delivery many a FXS

.... yeah, but I like the look of the Shovel engine better than the Twinkie in my 2005 FXDWG Twinkie, mind you, the friggin thing has been pretty reliable (271,000 Km or 168,322 miles) in 5 yrs, 1 mnth, & 18 days

Looking good.
I got a "Miss Low Rider" t-shirt back about 1980 or so as a promo item.

At 17 years old I wanted  1 of the all blacked out 1977 Low Riders so bad I dribbled every time I was near 1!      :bike:      Still think about buying 1 if I could find an unmolested one.

..I remember them well..AMF really hit a home run with the Low Rider..I was riding a rigid pan back then..and eventually replaced it with my 72 Flh popo bike..hand shift , foot clutch..still sitting in the "barn"...some things I can never sell and it is my antique..

That's one of the few vintage bikes I truly lust for. I just saw one for sale, complete with the original 2-1 exhaust. Unfortunately my toy account is a bit short right now.
