Tape on Windshield brackets for 2005 FLHRCI

Does anyone know what type of tape is used on 2005 FLHRCI windshield frames? Mine needs replacing to go with a new windshield. The tape is kind of yellow brown now an about 1" wide. I believe it use to be clear. It only has adhesive on one side an I am pretty sure it is their for vibration control.

I did do a search and cannot find anything for the FLHRCI style windshield. Not even in my parts manual.
