Accumulating the parts to install new bars with more rise and pullback; need to change riding position.  The challenge I see is the extension of the front brake line bending the "steel" line won't cut it.  The line appears to be an integral part of the "splitter" block that mounts under the bottom triple clamp, I don't see how I can replace it with a new flexibl line from master cylinder to splitter. I know some of you have done this, what do I need to do?  I won't start the project until I know exactly what I need and how to go about extending that front brake line.

I get mine from Magnum in Rochester, Ny for the ones I have done. Go to their web site, you can figure out what size you need from there. Good people to deal with also on the phone. Quality products in my opinion.

thanks klammer,
I checked out the site and noted that for non ABS setups, Magnum ssys the replacement of the upper line is all that is necessary.  However, the upper line is banjo at the MC, hard to the flexible rubber section in the middle and then hard again to the splltter.  I still don't see how to replace the upper line without dealing with the splitter; there is no break in the line between the MC and splitter.  I can see the solution if you purchase the upper line, splitter and lower lines. Magnum says that is not necessary with non ABS brakes but I am not smart enough to figure that out from the website infomration.  I will have to call them when the bars arrive and I can mock up and see how much I need to extend the upper line. What did you do?

You have to buy the lower line that will supply your two front calipers that length is stock). You then need to determine what length you need from the master cylinder to the fitting that comes off of the "splitter". The nice thin about the magnum set up is the way the lines attach. It is more of a pipe style fitting (similar to what is used on hotrod motors) I don't know the actual name or term. I always had problems in the past with the older style that threaded into the splitter and required a flare wrench to tighten. I had a rough idea what length I needed for an upper line as several have used the Khrome Wreks bars but I still measured with a piece of string to get the length. They will make what ever length you want in what ever style. Very friendly to deal with.

There are no fittings from the splitter to attach the upper line and the two lower lines to the splitter. The upper line, splitter and two lower lines are a complete assembly.

What you are saying makes sense and I understand.  What I couldn't understand was the statment on the Magnum website that indicated that the upper line could be replaced without replacing the splitter and the lower lines.  Perhaps on some models that is the case but I don't see how it is possible on an '02 FLHT.

I got the complete picture now and appreciate your patience and assistance.

Mine is an 02 FLHTC, trust me it is two seperate pieces, upper & lower. Give them a call & they will explain it to you.
