Just got the 01 Ultra back from my indi and while in the shop he advised some new front brakes. One piston was sticky and had abnormal wear on that pad. He put on some EBC pads. Haven't heard anyone talk about this brand on HTT and was wondering if any folks are running them? I put them to a pretty good test the next day on a large benefit ride. They  had a good, solid feel and they stopped me a heck of lot quicker than my old pads (and no more lever play problems). Feedback???

I currently have them on my bike (not by choice.like the Lyndall's) but they're not that bad and stop very well even in the rain.  Not positive but I think the compounds are different from frnt to rear.

I don't use them anymore, they were very dirty and wore out my rotors.
Listen to the jingle the rumble and the roar.

They're not as clean as the Lyndall's but a hell of a lot cleaner and better than stock and only an occasional slight squeak(probably more of a lazy piston issue).  My concern with them is also rotor wear, verdicts still out on that....haven't had them on long enough and will probably change them out soon for the Lyndalls sitting on my bench.  They do do their job very well, which is good stopping power.  I have not tried the re-designed (couple yrs ago) Lyndalls yet but The EBC's blow the old style Lyndalls away when stopping in the wet.  I do have faith in the newer design as Lyndall said they resolved the problem and their customer service is the best I've ever dealt with bar none.

Been running EBC Kevlars for over 60k miles.  They will not wear out your rotors.  Matter of fact the are very easy on rotors.  They leave a nice satin sheen on my polished  rotors.

Yea, the EBC HH pads will grind and groove the rotors pretty good.

I ran EBC'S for a little more than a yr, they are ok but when I changed to Lyndall's on back and kept the stock on front the Lyndall's seem much better, the front were at 57,000 and didn't need to be changed at least by looking at them, looked almost new as far as wear goes, but the change seemed to improve the whole stopping event anyway. I am impressed by the Lyndall's

I use EBC pads front and rear on my FL and sportster.
Easy to get hold of in the UK and they work.

Tried them on my heritage and was not impressed, when i got my RG it had new EBC's in all three calipers, the fronts came out after about 500 miles. Currently running Ferodo and I like them.

  Thanks to all for your feedback. I've only put about 125 miles on bike since the switch but so far so good. I'll give them a thorough workout in a few days with the OL on the back for a 5 day ride. Hope they do well. FYI, for HD touring bikes EBC site recommends their organic brakes on the front and their sintered brakes on the rear.

Tried them ONCE.

They stopped ok.. but
ran filthy, and went metal to metal in 6,000 miles.  (rear of 02 FXD)

been with Lyndall Gold ever since.
Got a case of dynamite, I could hold out here all night

I've used EBC's for many thousands of miles. Work great for me   wingie

They are good pads prefer the Lyndalls.  Ran both, no night and day difference but Lyndalls are cleaner, no noise and stop a tad more predictable.   I am dedicated to Paul Lyndall due to his persistence in trying to maintain a great system and ability to get a hold of him. personally, and he gives HTT a discount.

Exactamundo!   What good is a pad that last longer than OEM if it wears out your rotors? Trust me, they do.

Not a thing wrong with OEM.
