In all probability, Wardawgharley probably went to the father-in-law (who screwed up Wardawgharley's bike) and asked him to pay for the repairs.
Long story short........the father-in-law probably shot poor  Wardawgharley.

Otherwise  Wardawgharley would have followed up with what was found wrong with the bike.
