My brother and I have Road Kings with modified 95" motors. The engine mods are the same for both engines, 10.12:1 compression, .570 lift cams with 42 degree intake close, and ported heads with 1.90" intakes. The only real difference is that he is running a 42MM Mikuni and my bike is fuel injected. His bike will accelerate at a faster rate then mine. Other wise top speeds in the different gears are about the same. I'm assuming the difference is the acceleration pump on his Mikuni carb. Is this a correct assumption? Can a EFI bike be set up with the excel enrichment to act like a carbed bike? I have the 2002 Delphi system.
Thanks,
Bruggy

There are going to be variations from one unit to the next no matter what you do.  Engines are like snowflakes that way.

Yes, you can alter your programming directly or in your case, where you're not going to have to disable closed-loop operation to use it, the Power Commander has an accelerator pump feature.  If changing that would give you the leg up you're looking for.  It might not.  Your "snowflake" might be able to do the same amount of work, it might just be a little less enthusiastic about getting there.

What kind of fuel mileage differences are there between the two?  Are the intake and exhaust parts all the same and in the same condition?

It's not the accel pump or lack thereof
It needs to be properly tuned with individual cylinder maping and timing adjustments.
Betcha can take him then assuming good motor health.
