Trans neutral switch

1985 XLH 1000 can someone please tell me where the neutral switch is at. When the bike is in neutral the light on the dash will not come on. Thanks.

I'm not personally familiar with the 85 models, but looking in my info I see no neutral switch listed in any wiring diagrams through 85.  If there is a neutral switch I'd like to know about it also.

I could not find anything in the service manual about it. So what triggers the light to come on.

There Is NO neutral switch (or light) on an '85 ironhead

last time i looked there was only a high beam indactor light an a oil light,,,,,   :wtf:

 Heck I never owned that new of a Sporty, so I thought he knew what he was talking about and they might actually had one.
