Greetings Everyone,

Like many I've been reading this message board for some time and getting many of my questions answered about my bike.  I'm new to the Harley's, I've always been a metric (VTX) rider for many years.  I have a question about some slip on mufflers that maybe someone could provide some assistance with.  I've got a stock 2010 Heritage, and I was really considering the Rush Slip On's with either the 1 3/4 baffle or the 2.00. I don't want to loose any low end power, so would these be to restrictive, and I also don't want the noise to be extremely loud as I leave early in the morning ....... but I would like a little more rumble than the stock. My wife for some reason like the screaming eagle slip on's.  Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Alot,

V/R

I would go for Cycle Shack. Good sound, performance and price.

The Rush mufflers are quiet for sure.

I've got Rush slip-ons on my 09 SG and they sound nice...I like them.....I wouldn't classify them as quiet though...nice and throaty......I'm not sure about baffle size though...Its what the dealer had and recommended at time of delivery

Rush makes a very good product and you will not regret purchasing a pair.

Sound clips @: "www.rushracingproducts.com"

Call: 866-99-4RUSH and speak with Katfish.

I have a pr. on my '10 SESG and they sound just right!  2" baffles.

The 1 3/4 inch baffle will retain the lower end torque better than the 2 inch, I have been impressed with the performance of the rush mufflers every time I have had them on the dyno, what I have not been impressed with is how easily they discolor, have seen them come in discolored  right behind the inlet many times. You might check into the Fuel Moto offerings, nice looks and sound reasonably priced.

Got Rush slipons on my 09 fatbob, the bike only has stage one tuning. I love the sound, they growl deep without being obnoxious but of course that's just an opinion, it would be too quiet for some, too loud for others. 5400 miles on them and no discoloration yet.

I also bought a set of Rush touring mufflers for an evo and fit them to my 93" 76 flh with true dual head pipes. These have 1 3/4 baffles and are pretty mellow but I think they sound great. 2000 miles on them now no discoloration.

Both of these bikes run a tad rich.

Got a buddy with a set on an 05 Superglide with a stock engine.  His have the 2 inch baffles.  The sound is not that loud, but is extremely deep and low, and many folks perceive this as loud.  You can hear them a long ways off since the low frequency sounds travels so well, and the sound does a good job of penetrating walls, rattling windows and indoor objects.  His have not discolored at all.  I run stock mufflers cause I like things quiet, but his mufflers do sound as good as anything I have ever heard on a Harley.

Rush are fine, but not quiet..  Cycle Shack are also good.  SE, it's hard to say, HD has been quieting them down quite a bit to meet EPA since 2006, so a SE exhaust, unlike the older SE II's ones that were made by Cycle Shack, may not be much louder then your stock exhaust.     Any of those mufflers won't adversly affect your low end... jus tstay away from drag pipes... robs your low end TQ and you'll be pulled over every chance the LEO can get.
