Looking for a new stator and regulator.  Some say, "Stay away from Cycle Electric, all used and refurbished stuff."  I see they offer a two year warranty on their stators if you are using their regulator.
Can't purchase direct, must go thru Drag or CCI etc.  Just wonder is anyone is running any of there stuff and do you like it or not.

Last year I replaced the stator, rotor and volt regulator on my Evo. I went with Cycle Electric and no gripes. I even called them up and they where very easy to talk to and answered all my questions, also told me what the price was on the kit. They did say that they don't sell direct to public and gave me a list of distributors close to me. I got it through J&P for the price Cycle Electric said it should sell for. J&P's price was a little higher, but not much.

In my experience with their products, Cycle Electric stuff simply can't be beat.  I bought a $299 12V generator for my panhead from them in 2003.  I've put >75K miles on that generator without one single charging related issue.  That generator still hums along just great.  I've gone through a lot of generators over the years and this is the only one I've had last this kind of mileage (it was my first Cycle Electric purchase).  My generator was not a remanufactured part.  It was brand new.

BONUS:  Made in Columbus, Ohio.

I bought a CE 38 amp 3-phase upgrade and will do it again for the other bike when it becomes necessary. Excellent quaility, but was surprised to see the Harley rotor that was included in the kit.

Cycle Electric always worked great on my bikes.  It's always been top notch.

It's all we use.  OEM stators are embarrasing paperweights.  Ray

Actually Cycle Electric is NW of Dayton, Ohio, about 20 min west of me.  I purchased a CE 12V gen for my panhead.  Haven't started it up yet and put it in service, so I can't tell you about the quality.  Best to give them a call and identify what you need and give Jenni @ Tri-County HD a call.  The price was way better than the lowest price I found on the internet.  JMOH.

Thank you all for your replies. I heard about Cycle Electric on another forum.  Most liked them and of course there are a few who did not.  I went to their web page and this is how I found out about how they only sell to vendors and not to the public.  They suggest going to Drag or CCI or JP Cycles etc.  It is mentioned on their web page that they furnish only HD rotors.  I am running the OEM stator and regulator and rotor.  All are over 8 years old, on my 02 FLHT.  Looking thru Drag Specialties, I noticed they are not the least expensive listed.  I did notice they do build and rebuild their own equipment from their own factory.
Just curious if anyone else has had a good or bad experience with Cycle Electric.  It seems mainly positive and that is what I was looking and hoping for.  Once again, thank you all for your assistance.  I will give Jenni a call.

I believe CE made most if not all of hd's gens and regs--I do know they made the ones on my 68 and 59 XLCH's--I also know they make the best gen w/reg for the old ironheads

I needed a stator and regulator for my wife's Deluxe and wanted to get it pretty quickly.  Went to the local Harley dealer and told him I thought I wanted a Cycle Electric brand and he totally agreed with me.  Said they were the best.  Since the HD store is only about 30 miles from Cycle Electric he called them, ordered it for the store and I drove over and picked it up.  Couldn't have been easier and their reputation is the best as far as I've heard.
Experience is something you get right after you needed it.
