Barnett Extra Plate Clutch Kit

I have used the Pro Cluth several times on big builds and they work great. But, I think it is a little much for one I am going to be doing. Should be 120 torque. 05 FLHR with a 103. I am thinking about using the Barnett extra plate kit with their heavy spring. I think it will be enough to hold. Save a few hundred $ vs. the Pro Clutch. What do you think?

Running 95 with 110/110 and using the Extra Plate with the Carbon Fiber. With VPC 92T works great. Brother had the same set-up with a 116, held up good.  Somebody at his performance shop had issues with the Kevlar offering, non with the carbon fiber.

I have a new 131 preped with a used tw6_6 . I expect to install another clutch to accomodate the increase in twist and my 255 lb. weight.  I'll be watching this thread for some jewels of info.  :pop:

116 dyna... 125 hp / 128 .. Stock plate count Barnett Kevlar, heavy spring.. At about 20k it's starting to slip but not bad (see it in the dyno run)..

131  144 hp / 146 tq.. Stock plate carbon fiber. Modified SE hub (Longer studs double nutted springs.) and pressure plate.. The damper plate replaced with a full friction. No slip..

On the 116 did you change the plates out to CF?

I am planning on using the Barnett extra plate kit CF with the VPC92 and SE HD spring on my 107, which is ever so slowly coming together...target 125tq, 135hp.

Not yet.. I'm going to try a stock plate count tho.. The way the 131 holds with stock count CF, I'd bet it works fine on the 116..
