Welcome to HarleyTechTalk

Please read, understand, and follow our rules as outlined below. Rules can be modified without notice. By using our website/forum, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. If you do not wish to comply with these terms and conditions, you should not access our site. Please note that we reserve the right to change our terms of use at any time, and your continued use of the website/forum indicates that you agree to comply with any new or modified guidelines.

General Site Posting Rules

  • Members are expected to conduct themselves in a civilized manner. That means showing courtesy and respect to other members, moderators, administrators and staff.
  • This site is dedicated to helping Harley owners maintain and enjoy their HD products. If you want to bash Harley, please do so somewhere else.
  • If you want to complain about how this site operates and is run, you may do so elsewhere. You may not do it here.
  • Be civil in your posting. Disruptive or abusive posts will not be tolerated.
  • Absolutely no personal attacks, bashes, flames, or bigotry comments. This is private website and we insist you follow our rules while visiting.
  • We may, at our discretion, move or remove any post. If you find your post has been moved or removed, just move on. Do not attempt to repost or complain about posts moved or removed, either publicly or privately as this may result in loss of account privileges.
  • Please take care to start new threads in the correct Board. Board descriptions on the main site home page describe the allowed topics for each board. If you start a topic in the wrong board, it may be removed without notice.
  • Foul language is not allowed. The worst of these words are filtered by the site. Do not try and get around the filters by altering spelling and such.
  • Give and receive criticism with an open mind. You will be held responsible for your actions, so post wisely. If you can't handle posting wisely, don't post.
  • No posts offering to buy, sell, trade or source (items or services) outside of Marketplace allowed. If a post looks like an offer, it will be removed without notice and you will lose your site privileges for 1 week.
  • No commercial marketing outside of the Vendor boards allowed. This means that you may not use a company name, logo, website, Facebook page, email address, phone number in your profile or posts unless you are a paid Business Supporter. Anyone found to be soliciting business through their posts or via the site PM system or site email forwarder will lose site privileges to both features and may lose all site privileges.
  • No bashing of any businesses. As we here at HTT have no way to know who's right, we won't allow it. If you've had a problem with one, take it up with them.
  • Do not cut and paste material from other sites on HTT. Use a link or embed it instead. Do not upload any material that is owned/copyrighted by others. If you aren't sure, don't attach it to your post.
  • Do not type the Subject or Messages in ALL CAPS or use colors and strange fonts to gain attention. If you do, your post may be removed without notice.
  • You should include year and model and build options of bike when posting questions on tech boards.
  • Political posts of any kind are not allowed on HTT.
  • As not everybody has the same beliefs, religious posts are not allowed.
  • Bashing of any religious or ethnic groups is not allowed.
  • Posting the same thing in more than one place is not allowed.
  • Posting charity events, poker runs, fund raising etc is not allowed on HTT.
  • Making non tech posts like "Joe your inbox is full" or "PM Sent" or other personal messages on tech boards is not allowed.
  • No nudity or graphically gross posts are allowed. (Staff will always have the final say on what constitutes this)
  • You may have only one account on this site. If we find you have created more than one account, all accounts will be locked and you will lose site privileges.
Staff will have the final say in interpreting and administering these rules. If you have been contacted by staff regarding an issue, do not argue with them. Violation of site rules may result in post removal, a written warning, loss of posting privileges or loss of account.

There is no "Freedom of Speech" here so do not argue with the site staff over site rules. If we don't want you to say the word "the", you have no right to say the word "the." This is a private website in which we allow people register and participate. If we decide you are no longer welcome, you're not. This is not a government site, the bill of rights doesn't really apply here just as it doesn't if you invite us into your home and we scream obscenities at your relatives. You have a right to make us leave, and we have a right to make you leave here.

This site is hosted on a private server which is not cheap. We depend on site member donations as well as a few paid vendors to help offset our expenses. If you find this site valuable and wish to donate or become a paid vendor, please do so by emailing us at help@harleytechtalk.com or by clicking HERE
