Does anybody have a sketch for making up a tool for removing and reinstalling wrist pins?

I used a 3/8" diameter carriage bolt about 6" long, a plastic tube from an old 60cc syringe, a large flat washer and nut. Just stuff I had lying around... primitive but it worked. LOL.

Is one typically nessassary? When I pulled the pins on my '05 the other day I pushed them out with my fingers. They went out hard, but it was really no problem
I am an adult?? When did that happen, and how do I make it stop?!

Only when they don't come out by pushing them with your fingers

If they don't come out then apply a heat gun or micro-torch (don't go crazy) around the pin holes of the pistons.  Pistons just love heat...live in it all day long.  That pin will push right out with the tip of your finger.  I've found that with extractors there can be problems of binding that could cause damage.  This is also true for installation.  It's always advisable to bake the pistons to a modest heat.  Pin should always slide in easy.

I got one of these to install the pins with. Works great... Max

I used a heat gun to warm the pistons and then stuck a 12 in long 3/8 extension through the rist pin and pulled from the other side.  the ratchet end of the extension wont go through the wirt pin but wont damage it either. pull on the socket end and you wont get burned by the heated pin it just stays on the extension and slides off when ready
