I just installed a Vance and Hines pro pipe chrome on my 2006 dyna, also installed the competition baffle. It is so loud I don't think anyone will wanna ride behind me and I'm a little worried about getting ticketed for noise. Is there any mods I can make to the stock baffle to make it flow better and have a little more sound as it is pretty quiet. I will post some pics of the stock baffle and maybe some of you can give me some ideas on modifying it before I send it to be tuned. Thanks for any info.

Short of spending over $50 or so for a standard baffle, I don't know of any "quieting" method.

The pics I posted are the standard baffle that came with the pipe, the competition baffle is installed. I was thinking of cutting off all the steel wool looking material and replacing that with some fiberglass packing material. I don't know if the fiberglass packing will flow better than the steel wool, it's wound around the baffle pretty thick and looks very restrictive. What about drilling a few small holes in the end cap of the baffle? Any help will be appreciated as I gotta get the bike to the tuners soon. Thanks

My baffle didn't look like yours bought in 06 they may have changed them. I wrapped mine with fiberrglass and drilled 2 3/8 holes in end plate. Got rid of dip in power curve and quite a bit more quiet
