I've been trying to pin down some good dyno numbers for a STOCK 80in EVO motor ('97, if that makes much difference). Most of the dyno numbers I've seen are post-mods. I've done some modifications on mine and will be dyno tuning it in a few weeks and want to know about how much of a gain over stock I ended up with. Do any of you dyno tuners out there have a rough idea on stock output? If anyone remembers their stock 80in output numbers I'd be grateful to hear them. I want to be able to let people know what to expect if they end up going with the combo I used. Thanks all.

I have seen runs from 46 -52 on a stock evo...Cali models are worst,,dog cams for emissions...

I remember back in the late 90's when Speedvision used to have Two Wheeled Tuesday, they had a segment on American Thunder where they put a bone stock 98 Softail Custom on the dyno. It had 44 hp. I can't remember what the torque was, I was just surprised that it had about the same hp as a 250 cc motocross bike. When they rejetted and replaced the air filter they were getting 58 hp. They added pipes and finally got it up to 63 hp. I was surprised to see the main gains were with the intake side where as the pipes really didn't help that much. I do think it was a California model with stock cams.

Mike, that is pretty interesting.  I'll see if I can't track that down on the internets.  I kind of had a feeling the output would be in the high 40s.  I have a K&N filter right now.  I guess the next step I'll take will be a high flow system.

sometimes i feel down, cuz there are few sites with EVO graphs, very few, now we find a lot with TC graphs, easy to understand , to the market the evo died, not for us, here in the dyno section ,there are 2 or 3 evo graphs, a good site
with a lot of evo results is woods cams. but i would like to see, small modifications like, pipe, air cleaner, cam alone .
or even our beloved   and forever  evo...

I had my completely stock Road King dynoed way back in 1995. If memory serves me correctly, peak torque was 65 @ 2500rpm, and peak hp was 47 @5000 rpm. I think that this was a 4th gear run on a Dynojet 100.

AVG numbers are 50 hp and 60 tq for the evo in stock to pip and ac. Just like TC they are all over the board.
