I have a set of the tru duals on my 08 Ultra. They are a bit loud but I can still take 500 mile days with no issues at cruise.

With the stepped header pipes I believe that Rineharts are about as good as you can get in the true duals pre 08 and down bikes.  :soda:

From reading and looking at dyno charts relatively no bad dips and produce good HP/TQ compared to other tru duals.

Yes you will loose some TQ from stock headpipes and slipons but I was able to give up some TQ on my 103/255 build to gain some HP up on top without much notice due to the cam. I also believe the tru duals helps with the starter kick back people see with this combination as well.

luv the sounds of mine on my true duals :agree:
Due to the rising cost of Ammunition a warning shot Won't be fired !

Had a set on my 05 RK and liked the sound but always thought the stepped headers were not best suited to the stock stage 1 motor.
Also, the fit and finish left a lot to be desired. Within a few thousand miles the rear cylinder head pipe mounting bracket {where it attaches to the starter housing} broke off and after calling Rinehart, they sent me a new headpipe,no questions asked.no charge.
The chrome finish on the mufflers had a yellow tinge right out of the box...Not to mention the billet end caps that turned purple after a few thousand miles,as did everbody elses that I knew.I ended up sending the end caps to the chrome shop to get away from problem,at my expense.
I now run V&H setup...No problem.
Hopefully they have taken care of these issues.     Just venting   :smiled:

What are you putting them on? Stock will lose low end on any tru dual. I have them on a good 95 build and didn't lose too much below 3k rpm due to slightly higher than 10.5 compression and 44 intake close.
Otherwise sound and chrome very good. Purple end caps were replaced. New ones should be ok as they changed process and manufacturer.  Was a warranty exchange on them but I was out of date and got lucky with a friends. I would say customer support was bad over this but Bubs doesn't make them anymore.
I sent bubs and new maker an email recently to get new baffles but no reply.
Take that with grain of salt. Rather pissed when warranty was 2 months out on end caps but we only have a 6 month riding season.
But really they are holding up fine after 5 years and 26000 miles.

My rear pipe starter bracket broke off as well. Had a local shop weld it on right and good for 5 years now.  :agree: caps are dull and lot's of discoloration but 40K and they're still solid, for now.

Don't own them but have 2 friends that do... they're on the lowder side of the volume specturm, but they both complained about the end caps fading, one had black, and the finish was peeling off very early on, looked like crap, and the other one had chrome, same thing, started peeling off...

Imo, theres a reason they went out of business in the first place.
Speed costs money. How fast do you want to spend?

Bakon

Not out of business, just changed who made the pipes for them.

I ride with buds that are running the rineharts, sound is good at cruise and can be loud when taking off hard. personally love the tone of the BUBs streight 8, has a deeper tone than the Rineharts when cruising and can be just as lound when launching hard.

I have the 4" true duals and like the look and sound. I have about 4500 miles and haven't had any issues so far. They have a great tone and some consider them on the louder side. They are certainly not the loudest out there. I would buy them again if making the choice tomorrow.
The only normal people are the ones you don't really know!

Have the 2 into 1 on an 07 CVO springer, loud and love em.  No cap or pipe discoloring I have notice,d but I kind of feel the lower end is a little weaker, probably needs a good tuner.  Once above 3K RPM they howl!

Have a set of the Clearline mfg. True Duals, and have been very pleased with the sound/fit/finish.  Only complaint is the O2 bungs for my '07 Touring fitment had to be cut down for proper sensor placement.

Reported this to Adam, but not sure if there has been any running changes.
