Race Tech emulators for the short answer.   This, or you can spend days playing with different weights / capacities till you're happy.

I use ATF in the front forks of all my bikes.

20W fork oil, but as already mentioned, amounts/weights can be juggled to taylor the ride, unless of course, the fork springs are toast.

Norton, I picked up the harley type e fork oil and it sure did seem like trans. fluid.  [color and viscoscity]  What drained out from both legs combined was appx. 6ozs. of possibly gear oil.  Very grey and nasty looking.  I know I have a seal issue just want to see how bad, maybe I can get through the season.  Is it a 6mm or a 6.5mm long allen that I need to disassemble the legs for my 89fxstc.   thanks everyone.

mrrick - sorry I can't help you on the wrench size, but your close, get one of each?

I change my fork oil about twice a year because it's cheap (if you use ATF) and easy (I pump it in from the fork leg drain port).  Frequent oil changes should extend seal and bushing life.
