Replaced the jackshaft bushing in the inner primary on an '01 Dyna.  Drove the bushing in too deep, it's about 1/8" below the surface of the inner primary, the manual says it should be flush.  Can I run it like it is, or should I cut the bushing out and install a new one?

I don't profess to know exactly about this seal or it's place in the machine but if the manual specifies flush there must be a reason. The shaft endplay might not tolerate the seal being to far in and colide with it.
I wouldn't want to have to tear it down twice!

Can you use an expandible bearing puller to draw it out?  If not replace it to be sure.  Npt worth the risk for a couple bucks
If you have to stop and think about if it is right or wrong, Assume it is wrong.

That Bushing holds a lot of pressure.. What is the total length of the bushing and how far does the jack shaft stick out and go into the bushing.... 1/8 of an inch might work okay But it would bother ME if Mine.. easier to fix now than wonder IF later...

Kinda like putting in cam bearings into the block and finding one  went in an 1/8 inch too far.... I'd rather have the Full support. :banghead:
