Who makes a good socket set etc. that protects the nuts & bolts from getting messed up using regular tools. I'm tired of putting stuff on and having it look rusted & removing the powder coating off.

Thanks

Mac, SnapOn, Matco and Cornwell all make sockets designed to protect chrome hardware. I think all four of the companies are about equal when it comes to this type of tool. I like Mac because I get an instructor discount. But they are all good.

But the fact is all chrome hardware will eventually rust. I have slowly replaced most of the hardware on my bikes with polished 12pt stuff from ARP. It will never rust and can easily be touched up on the polishing wheel.

I have to agree on the ARP 12 point, no special tools needed either.
