I replaced the stator on the 2009 ultra  and the locking clip that holds the stator plug in the voltage regulator was gone,  any suggestions  so it wont fall out while riding.  i thought of making a "H" strap set up using tie-wraps to try to hold it

I THINK all the plugs on all the wires on the bike are replaceable. I'd check with the parts department.
Just looked it up for my 2001 and the plug is listed in the parts manual.
Listen to the jingle the rumble and the roar.

Just use 1 tie strap thru the middle of it bettween the wires..

I believe his might be 3 phase and different.  An online manual I have shows the 3 phase stator as stator plugging in directly onto the regulator itself.  Yes the old style plug for the single phase system came in 2 halves, and both are replaceable.  It was located in the wiring about half way between the stator and VR.  I had to replace mine a few years ago.

yes mine is three phase with 3 wires and a plug,  The plug goes into a receptacle on the backside of the regulator.  newer isn't always better

:embarrassed: I really ought to get a new bike, then I'd know what I'm talking about.  :argue:

fixed it,   i just drilled a 1/8 hole next to the plug on the mounting leg and ran a black tie wrap through 2 of the 3 wires back through the hole , to hold it up
