As some of you know I just purchased a woods king505 carb
Now the question is what manifold to use
my heads are cut to 1.710" for the intake ports,( T-man pro touring heads) SE has a manifold with 1.750" part #29414-07
is the .040 too much of a difference,  or close enough ?
I could use the SE for stock heads and the 51mm carb, but that one is 1.630" I believe, and too small and on back order. part #27929-07
So do I have any other choices ? I don't want to pull the heads to have the intake re-cut to 1.750"
thanks for any help.

in a perfect world, size the port to the manifold, but until you have to take the heads off, youll be fine(your only talking .020 per side)

Intuitively if I had a choice I would error with the intake manifold a touch larger, no need for that to limit anything.

I just purchased this S&S 161722 1.8 intake ports to mount my 45 mik. http://www.chrome-addiction.com/p-ss-cycle-cv-intake-manifold88-95t-161722-10065616.php?r=froogle

Brandon's going to call him Monday morning.
I'm starting to think the  S&S  with a adapter or T-man's
machined end for the cv.  :nix:
But I don't know the size of the intake runners on that either.

I have a intake I got from TR that was on my stage 3 heads if that works..

Can you measure the intake diameter where it bolts
to the head ? I   though his stage 3 was 1.810 on the heads
so it might be too big. I'm beginning to think the 1.710
might be a odd ball size. And the best I'll be able to do is
come close.

Use the larger manifold and don't worry about it.
