I have a 2011 E-Glide with the stock air shocks. Everyone talks about how the new bikes/frame even the newer AIR shocks are better ride wise. But my 2002 with Progressive shocks and stabo bushing rides just as good if not better. I'm not crazy at all about how my new bike rides shock wise.

So I'm thinking about maybe replacing my shocks. Harley has came out with a set and I'm wondering if anyone has try them and or replaced their air shocks on the newer bikes with Progressive.

I have an 09 serg and the air shocks were terrible. No matter how much air you put in or removed the travel just wasnt there.Always banging just like a hard tail. Replaced them with Progressive 440,night and day difference. I think the 940 s are a better shock but I dont think they make them for the lowered cvo. If you really want the best go with Bitubo shocks. Big $$$. Fred

Were those the HD premium shocks or the air shocks?

The shocks that I'm talking about that Harley has now is part # 54000008 and list for $500. They come lowered as well. Has anyone tried them and liked them or not like them?

My other bike has the 440 Progressive which I bought used. A guy traded his bike in for a 2010 and robbed them off his old bike thinking they would work on the 2010. I've never took the shocks off and try to make them work or seen the difference between the two bike/shock wise.

I have done back to back with stock shocks and the HD premium shocks.  The premiums are better than stock and they are diffently better than legend air ride.  Haven't compared to progressives though.  Surdyke.com has them for $402.

I think Harley has done a running change to the 13" shocks since the frame redesign in '09.  My '09 13" shocks ride quite harshly.  I rode a '12 Road Glide Ultra, and it was noticeably smoother than my bikel
