Not to dis your bike....but a large chrome headlight is what that needs...i.e. terminator version...
Ride it...Break it...Fix it...Repeat...

thats why i posted it so i can get opinions. i also lowered the light about 1-2 inches to center it more in the trees i have been looking for a diffrent look and every one seems to have the bullett headlight i  would like peoples opinions
thanks.

you have to keep in mind that between the forks there is not that much space due to the fact the fork tubes are 58mm and are much larger then stock . the triple trees are stock width so the diffrence in space between the forks is smaller.

I have a stretched 5 3/4 on mine. A 7" sounds right for your beefed out forks.

Maybe a longer mount might be needed.

i think thats why the dual did not work out as i would of liked it it needs to be in further more recessed.
i will pick up a 7 in one that is nt as stretched. i like the way your head light looks but on my bike i dont think like you said it will look as good. i  will start looking .
thanks kev .

I two big ones look like boobs. Definitely dont do that!

I like the forks - they look sharp. I do agree there is something about the dual lamps that just doesn't look right. Keep the forks though!

When the hell did this community develop and aversion to boobs?

I always thought that with a massive front end that a massive headlight like a 7" just looks more natural. Just a thought, if you had your heart set on a dual set up and be able to show off that sweet front end how about stacking a couple of 5 3/4"

that looks nice.
if i go with a round 7 in unit i just should of kept the stock one. i sold it with the whole passing lamps and tins.
i dont want it to look like i just bolted any old headlight on theer

Sure! Let the cutting begin!

There a 7" like that one I posted with a slight visor on it.

What about a 6 1/2" dia. Springer headlight? It has more of a teardrop shape.

or here is a 7" type:

Personally I'm not a fan of the stretched "rocket" style headlights, the symmetry with the rest of the bike never seems to look quite right IMHO.
Bike pics are the 6 1/2" Springer headlight with the shell powdercoated black.

Gunner i just got back from the dealer to look and that is the one i looked at.
5 1/2 or 61/2 both are flatter in the back like you said.

Most those fancy headlights, like the Arlen Ness one pictured above I would not put on a rider. They use pis pore mounting from the trim ring to the shell, and the tinnyist little set screws they can find. It seams they never hold tight and the headlight always rattles arround. And if you do get it to stay tight, good luck getting that puney set screw out, especially if your travalin and burn out a headlight. I know they look nice, but I would rather have functionality.

Kevin

I have Ness stretched billet. No set screws of any kind.

I might add, the 6 1/2" Springer headlight from the 1st link, that I have on my bike, costs less than $100 & has a 100w high beam. The light this thing puts out is a huge difference from stock 5 3/4" headlight.
