Does anyone know if a duece rear wheel will fit on a 2006 Flh?  I'm wanting to go with a nice 21" front but hate to shell out big bucks for a matching rear when it will be mostly out of sight. I like that the duece rear is 17" as there is a lot of good tire choices. Thanks

That deuce wheel is right up there with the fatboy wheels for weight. Whatever gains are made with improved tire profile and compound will be drastically offset by weight. Wheels are maybe the last place I want to add weight on a motorcycle.

applying that wheel to a fl would be equivalent to pounding a square peg through a round hole

If I knew these answers I wouldn't have posted my questions. I'm looking for answers from people who may have done this or already researched it.Thanks

There might be a lot of 17" tyres but not many that will fit the 4.5" wide deuce rim. Fwiw, I've been happy with the stock dunlops 160/70. Metzeler make 170/60 that will fit that rim. When mounted it has an overall less diameter than the dunlop. There's also the screamin eagle dunlop 180/60. I've heard that Pirelli recently released a tyre that will fit that rim, but I haven't been able to confirm it. All model years deuce rims have 3/4" bearings. I don't know if there are any other issues that will affect fitment to your swingarm.
